“It is wonderful to see how empowering parents through parent coaching can lead to happier, healthier and more conscious families and thus to a brighter future.”
Priscila is an Occupational Therapist, with a Master’s Degree in Public Health and postgraduate studies in rehabilitation and Psychopedagogy. She is a certified therapist in EMDR, Brainspotting and Somatic Experiencing, which are approaches to treating trauma and stress related symptoms. She is a certified coach through the International Coaching Community (ICC) and more recently has become a PCI Certified Parent Coach®.
Priscila works in the public health system in a poor area, where drugs and violence are rampant. She is beginning to implement parenting workshops and coaching there, as she believes that better parenting will lead to healthier and happier families and to less suffering and violence.
She is a mother of two children, ages nine and seven. Her journey towards becoming a PCI Certified Parent Coach® began when she faced her first parenting difficulties. As she could not find any parenting workshops to attend, she imported and read many parenting books. This soon became a calling and she started to organize parenting workshops. One of the books – Parenting Well in the Media Age – lead her to Gloria DeGaetano and eventually to Parent Coach Certification®.
Another passion is the work she does with musicians. The integration of coaching principles and other techniques have guided her in working with performance anxiety and performance enhancement with them.
Also in her private practice she attends adults and children in therapy and parents in coaching.
Besides her work, Priscila enjoys music, movies, reading, learning, and being with friends.
