Mr. Samuel Munyuwiny is the founder and CEO of the African Institute for Children Studies (AICS), an international non-governmental organization registered in Kenya, East Africa.
Mr. Munyuwiny, together with a team of five dedicated persons, comprising university dons and experienced practitioners in the children sector, founded AICS. The purpose was to respond to the need for a capacity building institution in Africa. AICS is a one-stop-shop for knowledge and skills in various disciplines that relate to children. AICS offers high quality services in training, research, monitoring and evaluation, and organizational capacity development, as well as implementing model projects in parenting and family studies, child protection, child health, education in emergencies and resource-limited areas, children in armed conflict, gender issues, and children with special needs.
Mr. Munyuwiny is a graduate student of Masters in Public Health at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), Kenya, and holds Bachelors of Science degree from Kenyatta University in Kenya. He also has postgraduate training in Child Health administered by African Medical and Research Foundation and a certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation of Population and Health Programs from the Population Studies and Research Institute of the University of Nairobi. He is seasoned in children’s programming, with ten years’ hands-on experience in public health and child protection sectors.
